Hello,

This item is under transportation right now to my home but I wonder if this is any specific pattern? It looks like it has an attach-hilt and a small loop/swivel attached on top of the hilt.

It is found in way up north in Sweden and the other objects on the picture was there as well. But this was the only thing I really wanted..

Could the scabbard be original? It seems to be marked with "Fischer" on the back of the blade.

Any help or comments are welcome!

Hello Daggpil,

this is an Austrian saber. See the photo.

Most of these sabers were manufactured by the „Fischer“ company from Vienna.

Best regards

Hello,

Some better pictures of the Pallasch. It is uncleaned and will remain in this untouched condition. Just a light oiling to prevent from rusting.

Hi Ulrik,

The FII monogram indicates that it was made during Franz II's reign (1792-1835).

From the book of Jiri Protiva "Pallasche der Haubsburgermonarchie" I would
assess that it is the M1798 which has the distinct deployable double
fingerguard and which comes with an Iron grip and main guard.
