Hello!

I got a German Rifle signed H. Ryssel in Tharant, that I assume is "Tharandt" in Sachsen. I cannot find the maker in Stöckels book. Does anyone here know anything about this maker, active years, production etc?

There is also a silver shield, a so called "Coat of arms" for a nobleman or similar. Any identification of which family it could be would also be nice.

Rifle is 114 cm in total. Rifled barrel about 15 mm. In the bottom of the chamber is a "dorn" like a military "dornbüsche"
I think its rather uncommon on civilian rifles? I date the rifle to about 1850-60. Douple trigger, fine working, triggerguard and back plate in ebenholz. Nose cap is missing, I assume that it should be either ebony or horn.
