Warte seit 4 Jahren drauf-jetzt will der Besitzer endlich verkaufen.
Verhandlungen laufen.
Franz. Säbel für Offiziere der leichten Kavallerie.
Griffstück a l´allemande ("nach deutschem Muster").

Freu mich sehr darauf..

Hallo Black,
sehr interessantes Teil, 4 Jahre wartest Du und dann wird immer noch verhandelt? Wenn ich so lange "nerve" und er läßt locker, wird mir der Preis diktiert oder umgekehrt.

na ich nerv ja nicht. Aber jedes Mal, wenn er mir was anbietet kommt der "tolles Stück, aber noch lieber..." Spruch ;-).
Und jetzt war er weichgekocht..
Preisverhandlungen waren kurz-sein Preis ist mehr als ok.
Freu mich drauf.

Yes-thats the same saber.
Mike Robinson is a friend-if he wants to sell i´ll get the offer first.
If you check the book you´ll see a good deal of the nap. sabers are from his collection-some of them are now in mine freuen

Hello Hans,

THis sabre is a nice example. As for the book, pics are o.k, but the descriptions are really bad, Mr Withers are no knowlegde of French sabre ( and others ) It;s simply a catalogue of sword pictures. Prices are also stupid...

Witch models did you bought also from Mike if i may ask?

O.k, i see, the revo-garde bataille ( p 104) the silvered infantry off. sabre p 105) the off. cav. leg. Garde Allemand p 106, the GdB off. p.107 the strange combination sabre with a An IV hussard blade and M.1792 off. CaC hilt P 109. Did this "Surfer Mike"stop collecting?
