Hello,
can anyone read the markings?
Is it the Grenadier-Regiment "König Friedrich Wilhelm II." (1. Schlesisches) Nr. 10 ?
The markings are on the old type S84/98 bayonet.
W 8 stamped on the back of the blade.

R stands for Reserve, it's a Reserve-Infantry-Regiment, 10th company.
Since the second digit can't be clearly identified, it might be the
Reserve-Infanterie-Regiment Nr.10 or Nr.16 or Nr.18
all of them established August 1914.

Ich bin auch dabei es koennte 16 sein im Einheit stempel.
Sollte ein S84/98aA in frage kommen, so dann ist W88 am
klingenruecken, weil die klinge vom S71/84 stammt.
