hello,
i have this french sword and these are the specifications of it;

Länge versorgt; 657mm
Länge blank ; 638mm
Klingenlänge; 490mm
Klingenbreite max; 44mm

Griffkopf mit preussischen afnamestempel
Tragehaken mit dem preusische afnamestempel
Trupenstempel 57.R H.85.

i have the following question;
are there other french FM, like this one, who are conquered like for example glaive d'artillerie M1816, with were send and used by the pruisische army?

Hallo Wallace,

das Faschinenmesser ist Kriegsbeute aus dem 1870/71er Krieg. Verwendet wurde es u. a. zur Bewaffnung der Militärhandwerker. Hier die des 57. Infanterie-Regiments.

Bisher sind mir nur Mle 1831 als Aushilfsseitengewehr bekannt.

thanks for the info! I know this already but the question is if there are other items, models, who are used for the similar as this model,item. I'm talking about french fm glaive d'artillerie M1816. What I mean is of there were another models used conquered by the pruisen and used by the pruisisch army.

My german is not so good so now i just read your answer correctly.
I understand that to your knowledge there just is one model known in the world. Than i have an answer to my question! thanks for this. I also know only one model, but maybe someone knew a different one, but i don't expect there is one, just like you said.
