The hilt on the hanger below looks somwhat similar to the Danish hanger model 1753, but the hanger is not Danish. Austrian ? Help to id the hanger below would be appriciated:

Perhaps a period composite, using a captured French blade?

Hard to say if it is period or an "collectors composite". Denmark sided with France during the Napolionic wars and was at war with England....and off course Sweden during this period :)
