An interesting piece. The blade is the same as on the British police, customs or prison guard swords ca.1830-1880.
Blade is 60 cm long, 3.5 cm wide.
Many markings, but no answer.
Any ideas, gentlemen?

Schöner Säbel. Der Griff entspricht einem indischen Talwar. Möglicherweise für "Rifles" (hierfür würde das Horn sprechen) der "Native Infantry" in Indien. Vielleicht sollte man in dieser Richtung suchen.

An excellent guess. i will explore that direction. My initial feeling was a presentation sword. Look at the 60 in the wreath.
