Savolax is a county in the central Finland, which until 1809 was part of Sweden.
This saber is not rare and definitely was produced in large quantity - many thousands.
Currently it is attributed to Savolax infantry, but I believe it was used by infantry regiments in the whole Finland and possibly in the north Sweden too. This would explain large number of produced swords.
